Note that for a short period of time, Apple required iPod touch users to pay for a software upgrade, which is the reason why some of the older iPod touch firmware download links aren't available.

Checkra1n is a jailbreak tool by the checkra1n team based on the semi-tethered checkm8 bootrom exploit. This jailbreak cannot be patched with a software update and supports all A7-A11 devices including the iPhone 5s to the iPhone X and certain Apple TVs. Learn more about the checkra1n jailbreak.

TaiG for iOS 8 was first released on November 29, 2014. Developed by the TaiG team, this jailbreak came roughly a month after Pangu released the first jailbreak for iOS 8.
25 PP is a jailbreak tool from a Chinese team of hackers of which we know very little. This tool has the particularity of being the only one available to jailbreak iOS 8.1.2 on Mac. It is also available for iOS 8.4 on Windows.
Pangu for iOS 8 was released on October 22, 2014. Developed by the Pangu Team, a group of hackers from China, this release of Pangu was the first jailbreak available for iOS 8.
Pangu is a jailbreak tool released in June 2014 by the Pangu Team, a group of hackers from China. Very little is known so far about the Pangu Team. Released by the evad3rs – a team comprised of pod2g, MuscleNerd, PlanetBeing, and Pimskeks – in December 2013 and it's compatible with all iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and iPad mini models running iOS 7.0 through 7.0.4. Released by the evad3rs – a team comprised of pod2g, MuscleNerd, PlanetBeing, and Pimskeks – in February 2013, evasi0n has been a long-awaited jailbreak for the iPhone 5 and other iOS 6 devices. For those of you keeping score at home, it took the evad3rs 136 days to crack iOS 6.1 for the iPhone 5, compared to just 98 days for the iPhone 4S, 38 days for the iPhone 4, and just 14 days for the iPhone 3GS. Evasi0n is one the most simple jailbreak utilities available. It is an untethered jailbreak that works with all devices running iOS 6 to iOS 6.1. p0sixspwn is a jailbreak utility developed by winocm, iH8sn0w, and SquiffyPwn. It is a tool for older devices running iOS 6.1.3 through iOS 6.1.5. It's an untethered jailbreak and should work for any device running the aforementioned firmware.
Redsn0w is a jailbreak utility developed by the Dev-Team. Originally called QuickPWN, this jailbreak tool was quickly renamed, and has now become a household name for most jailbreakers. Unlike PwnageTool, RedSn0w works for both Mac and Windows, and is considered to be one of the most reliable jailbreaks by the whole community. Absinthe is a userland jailbreak utility for many devices running iOS 5, 5.0.1 and 5.1, depending on the device (please refer to our jailbreak page for a compatibility list). This tool was first released on January 20, 2012, and is available as a standalone tool (Absinthe), a command line tool, and as part of a RedSn0w update. Although Absinthe hasn't been updated for iOS 6 and above, you may want to refer to our dedicated Absinthe page for step by step tutorials and information about this utility.
PwnageTool is a Mac application developed by the iPhone Dev Team that allows you to jailbreak your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. PwnageTool allows you to create custom firmwares while preserving the baseband – a key component of an iPhone unlock – it is usually used by iPhone users who want to unlock their iPhones. PwnageTool was last updated to allow to jailbreak the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and iPod touch 2G, 3G, and 4G. Sn0wBreeze is a jailbreak utility developed by iOS hacker iH8sn0w, similar to PwnageTool, except it is only compatible with Windows. Just like PwnageTool, Sn0wBreeze will create a custom IPSW allowing you to preserve your baseband for a potential software unlock. Seas0nPass is a jailbreak utility solely dedicated to the Apple TV. By allowing you to create a custom IPSW firmware, Seas0nPass will provide you with an untethered jailbreak for your Apple TV. GreenPois0n is a jailbreak tool developed by the Chronic Dev Team. GreenPois0n was originally written using two exploits: SHAtter (a bootrom exploit) as well as a userland kernel exploit provided by Comex to make the jailbreak untethered. Geohot later released another jailbreak (limera1n) using a different bootrom exploit on October 9th, 2010, which led to a delay in greenpois0n's release in order to implement Geohot's exploit and keep SHAtter for a future jailbreak.

LimeRa1n is a controversial jailbreak tool created by famous hacker GeoHot. It uses an undisclosed bootrom exploit and Comex's Packet Filter Kernel Exploit to achieve an untethered jailbreak. Make sure to check out our LimeRa1n page to see what devices and firmware versions are supported.
