Upcoming Projects:

2021-22
-Preparing to directThe Spongebob Musical for UNC Greensboro in Spring of 2022.
-CatchOne Week at Woolworths, an original musical film I produced and appear in, streaming in September of 2021.
-Faculty advisor for both an MFA Directing candidate and MFA in Dance candidate on the Public Theatre's new musical adaptation ofAs You Like It for Fall of 2021.
-Taking over as the coordinator of Senior Showcase for BFA and MFA Acting majors at UNC Greensboro.

Summer 2021.

-Devised an original comedy, murder mystery musical,Off the Rails, for Broadway Bootcamp: Advanced Performance at the North Carolina Theatre Conservatory in Raleigh.
-Commissioned and produced two other original musical films:
Flatbush Avenue by Madeline Myers, about three young girls in Brooklyn in 1955 who are obsessed with their home team, the Brooklyn Dodgers.
One Week at Woolworths by Melvin Tunstall, III and J. Quinton Johnson, about the Greensboro Four, the Woolworths Sit-Ins and the power of true allyship.  Based on the incredible true story of the Greensboro Four.

Spring 2021.
-Directed, shot and edited a world premiere musical film, Radio: a musical ghost story, for the UNCG School of Theatre.  The project was written by Trans Women musical theatre writers, Murphy Taylor Smith and Emerson Mae Smith.  It is currently being submitted to film festivals for further distribution.  The official cast recording will be available on multiple streaming channels in July of 2021.
-Commissioned and produced two other original musical films:

-Was named the UNCG College of Visual and Performing Arts Outstanding Teacher of the Year for 2021.
-Directed an original concert featuring UNCG musical theatre majors for the Theatre at Wellspring as part of our annual concert series.

Fall 2020.

-Conceived, developed, produced, filmed, directed and edited an original musical revue, Hear Our Voices: an inclusive celebration of new musical theatre for the School of Theatre at UNC Greensboro.  This production was a Covid-safe production alternative for musical theatre students, that sought to amplify the voices of a diverse group of emerging musical theatre writers from around the world.
-Attended intensive filmmaking course through the New York Film Academy.
-Was invited to present in two workshops at the Musical Theatre Educators Association (MTEA) annual conference.
-Produced a series of short filmed segments intended to demystify the college audition process.

Spring 2020
-Preparing to direct and choreographMatilda: the musical for the North Carolina Theatre Conservatory, as part of their advanced production program, during Summer 2020.
-Developing an original musical cabaret as part of UNCG Musical Theatre's new annual concert series with the Theatre at Wellspring.

Fall 2019.
-Directing and Choreographing Stephen Schwartz and Bob Fosse's musical masterpiecePippin  on the Mainstage at UNC Greensboro. September 27-October 5, 2019!
-Welcomed our first BFA Musical Theatre class at UNC Greensboro!

Spring 2019.

-Providing Musical Staging for UNCG Mainstage Productions of Shakespeare in Love andWhen She Had Wings .
-Directing 29-Hour Reading of BLooM!  a new musical with Book, Lyrics and Melodies by Melvin Tunstall III and Score Arrangements by Wendy Cavett.
-Guest Adjudicator for Student Directed Projects at KC/ACTF District Six in Abilene, Texas.
-Developing Curriculum with Dominick Amendum for new BFA in Musical Theatre at UNCG Greensboro.  First class enters in Fall, 2019.
-Teaching Directing II, Musical Theatre Dance Styles and Musical Theatre Workshop at UNCG.

Fall 2018
-Began position as Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG).
-Teaching Musical Theatre Workshop, Performance Styles (Shakespeare, Commedia dell'Arte, Greek Theatre) and Fundamentals of Acting.

April 2018
-Completed my MFA in Directing at Penn State University.

-Made my Broadway debut as the Directing Assistant to Christopher Ashley onEscape to Margaritaville, the Jimmy Buffett Musical, at the Marriott Marquis Theatre.

​January-February 2018
-In rehearsals, tech and previews for the Broadway run ofEscape to Margaritaville.

​November 2017
-Directing Assistant onEscape to Margaritaville pre-Broadway tour at Chicago's Oriental Theatre.

​October 2017
-Directing Assistant onEscape to Margaritaville pre-Broadway tour at New Orleans' Saenger Theatre.
-DirectedSweet Charity as my MFA Thesis at Penn State University.

May 2017
-Co-Directed and ChoreographedHot n' Cole, a Cole Porter revue, for the Sarasota Opera House and Penn State University Musical Theatre Department.  Performances in State College, PA and Sarasota, FL.
-
Traveled through Eastern Europe (Vienna and Prague) with the MFA program at Penn State.  Then traveled to Italy to research the work of director Federico Fellini in preparation for directingSweet Charity at Penn State in the Fall of 2017.

February 2017
-DirectingGreen Day's American Idiot at Penn State University, February 14-25.

September 2016
-Directed and Choreographed'SWonderful!,a Gershwin Revue at Penn State.
